Enabling intercalation‐type TiNb <sub>24</sub> O <sub>62</sub> anode for sodium‐ and potassium‐ion batteries via a synergetic strategy of oxygen vacancy and carbon incorporation

The key to develop earth-abundant energy storage technologies sodium- and potassium-ion batteries (SIBs PIBs) is identify low-cost electrode materials that allow fast reversible Na+/K+ intercalation. Here, we report an intercalation-type material TiNb24O62 as a versatile anode for SIBs PIBs, via synergistic strategy of oxygen vacancy carbon incorporation enhance ion electron diffusion. TiNb24O62−x/reduced graphene oxide (rGO) composite delivers high capacities (130 mA h g−1 178 PIBs), great rate performance (54 37 PIBs at 1 A g−1), superior cycle stability (73.7% after 500 cycles 84% 300 PIBs). among the best results metal anodes PIBs. better TiNb24O62−x/rGO in than due reaction kinetics former. Moreover, mechanistic study confirms redox activity Nb4+/5+ responsible intercalation Na+/K+. Our suggest promising may stimulate further research on compounds candidate large batteries.
